I am now at 21 out of the 39 pokemon needed before I can fight the first gym in Emerald. Not much to talk about at the moment regarding it, I've caught all the wild pokemon available to me so now it's just a matter of level grinding. I've gotten some of the annoying ones out of the way(Abra, Cascoon (which I caught in the wild for consistency, meaning it had no attacks)), but I still have some low level schmucks that can technically fight on their own but probably need help. I also have Nincada, which means I'll eventually have access to False Swipe for easy capturing, but I forgot it's in the Erratic experience group. The Erratic experience curve requires by far the least experience to get to level 100 by a very large margin (600,000 total vs 800,000 for the Fast experience group), with the catch that it's extremely slow at low levels. My Nincada literally needs like 500-600 experience to go from level 11 to 12, it's absurd.
